Amy's Bedtime - Written By Baby Amy

Amy was playing up again. It was her bedtime but she was determined to give daddy a hard time and not got to bed.

“Come on Amy its bed time. You have already had 10 mins extra, so now it’s definitely time to go to your room,” said daddy.

“Ohwwwww just 10 more minutes please daddy. I just want to finish this puzzle”.

Amy was playing on the floor, doing a jigsaw puzzle. She was in her cute little pyjamas with sheep on them and her night time nappy. Her hair messily hung over her face and she concentrated hard on trying to fit all the pieces together.

“No Amy, bedtime now! Come on! You can finish that tomorrow.”

“Can I have a story?” she pleaded.

“No, not tonight, it’s too late. Tomorrow night.”

Amy stuck her tongue out at daddy as she walked passed. Daddy gave her bottom a quick swat as she ran ahead. He followed her into her room and fussed around with her night-light. He then put her into bed and tucked her in under her Barbie doona. After turning out the light and closing the door he returned to the living room to watch his TV program.

However 5 minuets later he could hear the patter of small footsteps in the hallway. Amy was up and coming to get daddy.

“Daddy, I’m thirsty can I have a drink please” she called as she peep around the door.

Daddy sighed and got up from the couch.

“Ok, you get back into bed and bring you some juice in your sippy cup”

Daddy bought her some juice and Amy sat up in bed and drank from her sippy cup. When she was finished daddy got her to lie down again and he turned out the light. He went back to his program in the living room hoping that Amy would finally go to sleep. He was exhausted, as Amy had warn him out.

But once again, after only 5 minuets he could hear Amy out in the hallway. She was on her way to the bathroom. Daddy caught up with her as she was running the tap at the sink.

“Amy what are you doing? You are supposed to be in bed. I will get cross in a minuet”.

“I was hot so I wanted to put some water on my face” she said as she splashed water all over her face, and the floor.

“Ok you’ve done that and made a mess. Now back to bed young lady”.

He followed Amy back into bed and once again settled her into bed. But again a few moments later she was up and out of bed. She decided she wanted to change Doggers nappy and was busy playing on her bedroom floor trying to get the nappy off the toy. Daddy heard her rummaging around in her toy box and marched into her room. Amy jumped as he came in.

“Ok no more chances. You are in trouble now,” said daddy as he grabbed her by the arms and pulled her to her feet.

Amy struggled and got away. She ran out of the room giggling. This was a fun game for her as daddy chased her. He was not, on the other had, playing. Amy ran into daddy’s room and hid under the bed. Daddy was tricked as he thought she went to the living room but now it was a game of hide and seek. He looked everywhere.

“Ok Amy you have got until the count of 10 to come out of where you are hiding and back into bed. I’m serious. You are in big trouble young lady,” he said as he searched the house. “One, Two, Three……”

Amy could hear him counting but now she knew it wasn’t a game and was unsure about coming out of her hiding place. “Nine, nine and a half, nine and three quarters, ten. Ok times up” daddy called.

Daddy found her soon enough and crept up on her. He dragged her out from under the bed by her feet and she laughed so hard she wet her nappy. But her laughter soon stopped as daddy lifted her onto his knee, faced down and her pyjamas pulled down to her ankles. He pulled her wet nappy down too, just below her bottom and gave her a good spanking. Amy kicked and screamed and made a fuss. After 10 smacks, daddy pulled up her nappy and pyjamas and sat her on his lap. She was crying now. Mostly because she was incredibly over tired and because her bottom stung a little.

“I warned you Amy. Now you are a very tired little girl, so come on, calm down. Daddy will put you to bed” He cuddled her for a minute and that seemed to calm her down and then he carried her to her bedroom.

“I think you need a nappy change before you get into bed. I did notice that you had wet yourself. Ok princess lie down on the bed and I will take you wet nappy off”.

Still sniffling Amy lay on the bed. She co-operated as daddy changed her into a dry nappy. When that was all done she got under the covers. She gave daddy a big kiss and a cuddle and slipped her thumb into her mouth. Daddy stayed with her until she fell asleep. She was his angel really, even though she was incredibly naughty sometimes. But he loved her.
